Barefoot Running Hill Repeats as a Birthday Milestone


For my 57th birthday today I treated myself to self-inflicted torture, running 57 hill repeats, barefoot of course, covering 10.4 miles and 1700 ft of elevation gain.  I have pains in places I didn't know existed. Not sure what I was thinking, and for some of you I wasn't, but it's best not to think when you're doing something stupid as this, which is the whole point.  Really clears the head.  Remember that age is just a number and finding new milestones to conquer as a celebration of your age rejuvenates you and inspires you to continue doing crazier things as time goes by.

Going to drown myself in sushi and beer later today.  Live on.
